Diese Kategorie haben wir jetzt erweitert. Alles was wir zeigenswert finden, findet ihr hier. Es geht los mit einem alt bekannten Zitat:

Mahatma Gandhi

Auf das wir dem gerecht werden. InshaAllah.

this is a art project from the university it shows several aspects of the apartheid era / you'll can see a burning passport this was when they start a campaign to burn their passports, cause the passports were symbols for the seperation n orpression (only blacks were suppossed to have a passport) / you see the raibow for the rainbow nation / India because India and Indians played a importend role during the struggle / in the upper left corner a sign 'only whites'...

just that you guys know how looong the hike was! we started walking at the parking lot right in the middle of the picture (under the Lion's Head)

Devil's Peak - clouded / there's a funny story about the fact that the Table Mountain and Devil's Peak are always clouded. The English term Devil's Peak is a 19th century translation from the Dutch Duiwels Kop, and supposedly comes from the folk-tale about a Dutch man called Jan van Hunks, a prodigious pipe smoker who lived at the foot of the mountain circa 1700. He was forced by his wife to leave the house whenever he smoked his pipe. One day, while smoking on the slopes of the peak, he met a mysterious stranger who also smoked. They each bragged of how much they smoked and so they fell into a pipe-smoking contest. The stranger turned out to be the Devil and Van Hunks eventually won the contest, but not before the smoke that they had made had covered the mountain, forming the table cloth cloud. /Wikipedia
