we still don't have our visas. The Dept of Home Affairs in Cape Town told us after 3 hours waiting that the visas are not yet arrived in CT, althought we got a message over three weeks a go that our visas are done and that we should collect them after 5 working days (which was about 2 weeks a go)...we will never aver say again a bad word about the administrative bodies in Germany.. ;)

However. This weekend we just hang around and enjoy that we are back in CT. We baked a yummy huge cookie (recipe below). Next week work is starting again. But even that is fun ;)

Recipe:


75 g gesalzene Macadamianüsse, 75 g Bitter- oder Vollmilch-Schokolade, 150 g Mehl, 1 TL Backpulver, 125 g weiche Butter, 100 g Zucker, 1 Päckchen Vanillezucker, 1 Ei

Schritt 1

Backofen auf 175° vorheizen. Nüsse grob hacken, Schokolade in 1 cm große Stücke schneiden. Mehl und Backpulver mischen. Butter, Zucker und Vanillezucker schaumig schlagen. Das Ei zugeben. Die Mehlmischung unterrühren. Backblech mit Backpapier belegen.

Schritt 2

Aus dem Teig mit bemehlten Händen 6 Kugeln formen. Mit großem Abstand auf das Blech legen und flach drücken. Schokolade und Nüsse hineindrücken, nochmals flach drücken. Im Ofen (Mitte, Umluft 160°) 15-20 Min. backen. Nach dem Abkühlen jeweils vierteln.

we are unpacking our stuff, phoning people, enjoying the view of Table Mountain, we are freezing (CT is fricking cold!).  Yesterday we went to play cricket (we decidet to just watch the game^^). Tomorrow we have to go to Dept. of Home Affairs to finally collect our Visas isA. Yaiy! :D

hey guys its been a while. Hope you are all well!
we're a bit stuck here in Pretoria. We were suppossed to leave last Thuesday and then today and now we only leave on Monday because Saeedah comes back from Swasiland Sunday evening. So we're running out of time and theres not enought time left to really speak to all the people here in Pretoria but it's the same with Joburg. We don't have so far any pictures of Joburg. Pictures from importand houses, streets, places...we're looking forward to Cape Town. We try to meet some people here and get pictures from some nice and importand places.
